The North American International Auto Show is a site to be seen around the country, but in the Detroit area it is a chance for the millions of local auto workers that live here to see what they may be producing and take pride in their company's name. Every year in January, the Cobo Center hosts the Detroit version of the Auto show and every year well over a half million people make the trip to the venue to take in the glory. This is a show for everyone, even the little ones. This years event took place from January 19 thru January 27th. It was a week of beauty, style, and concept. If you are a people watcher there is something here for you. If you are a car aficionado this is your dream, and if you are just looking for your next vehicle this is the place to start. Hummer put together a very intriguing concept vehicle when it put out the HX. This SUV has a removable roof, can be transformed from a short bed pickup to a convertible and then back to the traditional square Hummer. This vehicle is geared for a younger crowd that wants versatility and I think they accomplished it. Saturn had a winner as well with its compact SUV, the Saturn Vue. This vehicle is a 2-mode hybrid and will be available later this year. It was a show stopper with its fuel economy and is pleasant to look at.

She remembered the day her son Teddie had brought Charlie home. They'd just moved into an apartment after selling the house he'd been born in. Once there, Teddie stashed his bike in the storage shed and they mounted the front steps of their new apartment together. She fumbled in her pocket for the key, her hands shaking, some part of her expecting to see the man in his big buy truck stuff pull up at any minute. He doesn't even know you're gone, she thought, and finally found the key. The stories are always true that the families talk about and portray on the show. FALSE. With the Armada show telecast, the woman's husband did in fact die in the home from complications of black mold. What was not 't shared with the television audience was that she was an abused spouse and he was very abusive towards her right up until his death. This information was not revealed until well into the renovation process. The end of the story is we were able to get the lawyer for Ford Motor Credit to accept a much lesser amount because he was trying to get a default judgment on his fees. That was illegal here in Florida, so with his hands in the cookie jar, he just wanted to get it over rather than have his name placed in front of the Florida Bar Assn. Remember: be prepared, have an agenda and keep focused on the discussion at hand. Involve everyone from partners to associates to staff and keep an open mind to marketing ideas, plans and needs.
