Buying a car has changed over the years. No longer do you have to go from car lot to car lot to find that perfect car. No more spending your week-ends car shopping. Years ago car shopping was a big thing. Having a car wasn't as casual or as necessary as it is today. People in town walked or took the bus. Thus, technology was on a roll. Bill Gates had founded the Microsoft Corporation in 1975 and McDonalds had created a drive thru. However, my mother was more interested in her own life and leisure time. In the seventies she had graduated high school, entered the workforce, and married my father in 1976 and started her own family.

Sometimes it is (1) attorney, sometimes it is (2) attorneys and sometimes it involves the Judge. In this particular case, here is poor little "Linda" getting a divorce from "Outdoor Bob". Prior to their marriage, Linda had perfect credit and Outdoor Bob, being a rascal, had ziltch for credit. Linda was told by Mom and Dad, don't marry that bum. Drag racing was a fun event for both my mother and my father. In the seventies my father owned a 1972 Ford Galaxy 500, 1970 Road Runner, 1973 Ranchero, and a 1976 buy truck tires. The cost of a new vehicle was around $6000. Over all, the most rememberable event for my mother in the seventies was in 1977 when Elvis Presley died. RSR Motorsports first raced a Honda Civic Si at Daytona last year, and now all three of the team's Street Tuner class entries are Civics. The 2012 season was a chance to learn the car, though success came quickly in the form of a win at New Jersey Motorsports Park and third at Barber Motorsports Park. It all came back to her then, how he'd lain sobbing in his room across from hers while the man raged in the livingroom, how she'd slipped into his twin bed with him and wrapped her arms around him until he was finally asleep, how she'd read chapters of "Charlotte's Web" to him each night, how he'd raced on his bike through the dark streets the night they'd finally made their escape. He'd told no one. It was their secret. The situation might sound like a win-win but some people say "Cash for Clunkers" is a speed bump, slowing customers who might want a used car. Used car dealers at Naff Auto Sales told WSLS the program could force people into buying a new car. Another possible problem, Clunkers traded in with the program have to be destroyed, meaning they won't end up for sale on a used car lot. Better for the environment, bad for used car business. But many say it's a trade we need to make. Many don't want to put the brakes on the program. In an interview with WSLS, the president of Berglund Automotive said close to 40 people have taken advantage of the government program so far. They say "Cash for Clunkers" is giving customers the kick they need to get a new car.
