The North American
International Auto Show is a site to be seen around the country, but in
the Detroit area it is a chance for the millions of local auto workers
that live here to see what they may be producing and take pride in their
company's name. Every year in January, the Cobo Center hosts the Detroit
version of the Auto show and every year well over a half million people
make the trip to the venue to take in the glory. This is a show for
everyone, even the little ones. This years event took place from January
19 thru January 27th. It was a week of beauty, style, and concept. If
you are a people watcher there is something here for you. If you are a
car aficionado this is your dream, and if you are just looking for your
next vehicle this is the place to start.
The world has changed a lot. Most people
don't know the names of all the cars on the market. Two cars in a family
is common. People are busy and don't want to take the time to shop for
that perfect car. Families with kids want SUV's. Everyone wants energy
efficiency. Instead of asking how much horse power, people are asking
how many miles per gallon.
The Internet was an invaluable tool, used in our restoration
project. The new engine was found, and ordered online from a company in
Arizona. He found the best buy on "Fatman" suspension by being able to
shop all over the country, with just the click of the mouse.

LaBeouf was not to
blame for the accident, which occurred when another driver allegedly ran
a red light. A few hours after the crash, LaBeouf underwent a four-hour,
early-morning surgical procedure on his left hand. A few weeks later --
against the advice of at least one doctor, LaBeouf says he returned to
the Transformers set with a specially designed prosthetic bandage that
had to be rewritten into the plot line. Additional surgery was postponed
till after the film wrapped. In 1970 my husband bought a Dodge R/T for $5000. The
price of the car was usually a bit less, but this particular car had all
the bells and whistles needed to be a true Muscle Car. If kept in mint
condition this car would now be worth approximately $50,000. He was
young and foolish though; blew up the engine, and just trashed the car.
To this day, the thought of his youthful waste makes him kind of
sick.
So
you're thinking of trading in that gas guzzler collecting rust in the
driveway. According to the official "Cash for Clunkers" website, your
1979
buy truck mud flaps won't make the cut-even if you swear it's
the biggest piece of "clunk" on the block. The official rules state
vehicles must be less than 25 years old. As for the embarrassing
junk-mobile you just inherited from your crazy uncle-trade in vehicles
must be registered and insured continuously for the full year before you
participate. In order to stand out in a sea of law firms you must identify
and then market what makes your firm unique. Are you focused on personal
attention? Have a 100-year history in a certain region? Employ attorneys
who speak multiple languages? Bringing together partners, associates and
staff can quickly bring about a clear vision of what makes the firm
different and how that fits with what your clients need. You can then
use that as part of your law firm marketing and business development
plan. In the local automotive arena,
decline in gas prices seem to benefit GM most. The automaker's truck
sales surged by 32.9 percent. DaimlerChrysler truck sales were up by
11.1 percent. Jeep and Dodge received most of the gains. Jeep auto parts
are proving what they are worth in Liberty and Commando. Consequently,
Dodge truck parts are still preferred by many truck enthusiasts. The situation might sound like a win-win but some
people say "Cash for Clunkers" is a speed bump, slowing customers who
might want a used car. Used car dealers at Naff Auto Sales told WSLS the
program could force people into buying a new car. Another possible
problem, Clunkers traded in with the program have to be destroyed,
meaning they won't end up for sale on a used car lot. Better for the
environment, bad for used car business. But many say it's a trade we
need to make. Many don't want to put the brakes on the program. In an
interview with WSLS, the president of Berglund Automotive said close to
40 people have taken advantage of the government program so far. They
say "Cash for Clunkers" is giving customers the kick they need to get a
new car.
